CHEMICAL BLENDING SYSTEMS AND POLYMER MIXING SYSTEMS

CUSTOM CHEMICAL, POLYMER BLENDING, AND DELIVERY SYSTEMS

USI custom designs chemical and polymer blending systems which mix water with polymer (or other industrial chemicals) to make a specific concentration of solution. Tanks of various sizes are provided for mixing and aging. Each system is custom designed for the application to meet the specific needs of the customer. Optional automation packages are available to interface with your plants water clarifier and/or belt filter presses.

Our chemical mixing and blending systems can be used for mixing chemicals with water or other liquids. We have chemical mixing systems that can feed dry powder of flaked chemicals as well as chemical blending systems that can mix chemicals that are in an emulsified form such as an anionic or cationic liquid emulsion polymer or flocculent used for water waste treatment. We also provide metering systems to dispense coagulant.

Our custom liquid chemical blending and mixing systems are often used in the industrial and mining industry, including mineral processing and aggregate plants or rock quarries. We also build systems used in refining, utility plants, and municipal wastewater treatment plants. We have systems installed all over the United States including Nevada, Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado, and many other locations.

CUSTOM DRY POWDER POLYMER OR CHEMICAL MIXING SYSTEM

Our custom dry chemical mixing systems and feeders are commonly used for blending anionic or cationic flocculent of polymer for wastewater treatment.
The main component of our chemical mixing system, our volumetric stainless feeder, however, is commonly used to feed and meter other products such as Lime, Sodium Carbonate of Fly Ash, and Aluminum Sulfate. Powder Activated Carbon (PAC), Sodium Silico Fluoride, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Potassium Permanganate and other dry powders or flakes are also managed using our stainless steel volumetric feeder.
Our stainless steel hopper is available in various hopper sizes and is designed to accept either small bags of products to super sacks or bulk bags.

Additional features of our custom dry polymer or chemical mixing system include:

  • Stainless steel volumetric feeder with adjustable speed auger to change concentrations.
  • Over sized stainless steel wetting cone.
  • Wash down construction with stainless steel fittings and structure.
  • Large stainless steel hopper with low inventory sensor.
  • Safety guards and alarms.
  • Optional mixing and aging tanks which are designed to meet the needs of criteria of your specific application.
  • Full automated and PLC controlled with programming written specifically for your application.

CUSTOM LIQUID EMULSION POLYMER OR CHEMICAL MIXING SYSTEM

Our custom liquid emulsion chemical mixing systems and feeders are commonly used for blending anionic or cationic flocculant or polymer for waterwaste treatment. Our liquid mixing system is a popular system as the portability of the unit makes it quite versatile. This chemical mixing system can be managed and moved throughout various locations as it is mounted on a single skid and can be moved with a fork lift and trailer or large pick up truck.
Features of our liquid emulsion polymer and chemical mixing system include:

  • Portable/skid mounted (self contained)
  • Stainless steel valves and fittings.
  • Piston or diaphragm chemical metering pump.
  • Optional VFD for precise discharge of mix solutions
  • Non-contact level sensors.
  • Power coated structure.
  • Wash down construction.

AUTOMATIC CHEMICAL AND POLYMER DOSAGE CONTROL SYSTEMS

USI distributes chemical and polymer dosage control systems which monitor your process and dispenses the appropriate amounts of chemicals or polymer needed for your application on demand. The dosage control system measures water clarity or turbidity with a probe and communicates with a polymer solutions pump which is controlled by a variable frequency drive (VFD). The relationship between water clarity or turbidity and polymer solution pump speed is based on a known set point which is desired by the plant operator.
