PUMPS AND PUMP PARTS

USI offers a variety of pumps and pumping solutions specifically engineered and sized to meet the needs of your application. Whether you are pumping water or waste water, tailings slurry or mud, abrasive slurries, coarse slurries, fine slurries, oil, or chemicals and chemical solutions, we can help engineer and supply a pump that is highly efficient for your pumping application.

USI provides a variety of new, used, or rebuilt pumping solutions incorporating some the the industries leading manufacturers.

SLURRY PUMPS AND MUD PUMPS

A slurry is a mixture of solids and water and can vary in properties such as particle size of the solids, density of the solids, physical properties of the solids (i.e. geology, organic, inorganic), type of fluid (usually water), density of the slurry (solids concentration), fluid viscosity, cohesiveness of the slurry, and abrasiveness of the slurry. Each characteristic will make each pumping application unique from the next.

The most common type of pump for pumping slurry is a centrifugal pump, however other types of slurry pumps such as positive displacement pumps may be required depending you your application. A centrifugal pump transfers the rotational energy from a motor to move the slurry by means of a rotating impeller. The centrifugal pump can be supplied in a variety of materials that are best suited for your application. Such materials included Hi Chrome housing, Hi Chrome impeller, rubber impeller, rubber pump liners, etc. Solids and liquid characteristics of the slurry as well as pressure and elevation determine the size and horsepower required for any given slurry pumping application. Unique Solutions for Industry is a process engineering minded company with expertise in waste fines handling and process and dewatering equipment. We have worked in some of the toughest applications in the mining industry including hard rock mining, sand and aggregate mining, coal mining, frac sand mining, and dredging. Common slurry pumping applications in the mining industry would include thickener feed pumps, thickener underflow pumps, tailings slurry pumps, cyclone feed pumps, sump pumps, and endless others.

Unique Solutions for Industry understands the variety of dynamics that affect the energy (HP), pump size, piping size, and overall engineering of the design of your pumping system. In addition, we work with the most reliable slurry pump manufacturers and pump engineers in the world including Weir Minerals, GIW Industries, and F.L. Schmidt.

WATER PUMPS
Unique Solutions for Industry offers the engineering and supply of water pumps for any application larger or small and corrosive or non-corrosive. The most common type of pump for pumping high flow rates of water is a centrifugal pump, however other types of water pumps such as vertical turbine pump, lift pump, gear pump, progressive cavity pump, or submersible pump may be required depending you your application.  Distance, elevation, and head pressure are some of the characteristics that determine the size and horsepower required for any given slurry pumping application.

Unique Solutions for Industry is a process engineering minded company with expertise in sizing water pumps which are highly efficient and low maintenance.  We have worked in some of the toughest applications in the mining industry including hard rock mining, sand and aggregate mining, coal mining, frac sand mining, and dredging. Common water pumping applications in the mining industry would include tank transfer pumps, tank supply pumps, dust control water supply pumps, spray bar pumps, plant water supply pumps, water booster pumps, submersible pumping, water well pumps, water pumping for fire protection, and many other applications. Unique Solutions for Industry understands the variety of dynamics that affect the energy (HP), pump size, piping size, and overall engineering of the design of your pumping system.  In addition, we work with the most reliable water pump manufacturers and pump engineers in the world including Weir Minerals and GIW Industries.
